Eagle Scout candidate Logan Michel, of Troop 770 in Las Vegas, and 48 of his fellow scouts and mentors as they replace decades-old fishing line recycling bins with new and updated versions.
The new bins are located around Sunset Lake, one of Las Vegas’ most popular urban fisheries. NDOW encourages anglers to place their unwanted fishing line and tackle in the bins rather then leaving it along the shoreline where birds sometimes become entangled in it. The bins are emptied on a regular basis.
